De speciale noodtoestand in het thuisfront is verlengd tot 30 juni.
Ministerie van Volksgezondheid: Alleen ziekenfondsen met beschermde vestigingen mogen open zijn. Iedereen kan medische behandeling krijgen bij ELK gezondheidsfonds dat het dichtst bij zijn of haar woonplaats ligt, zelfs als hij of zij daar niet bij aangesloten is. Dit is heel bijzonder omdat er normaal gesproken geen samenwerking is tussen de vier Israëlische ziekenfondsen.
In ziekenhuizen worden alleen spoedgevallen behandeld. Niet urgente patiënten worden ontslagen omdat ziekenhuizen hun maximale capaciteit moeten behouden voor het geval er slachtoffers vallen.
Revalidatiecentra
en therapeutische woonvoorzieningen blijven open, evenals verslavingsklinieken.
Geriatrische
ziekenhuizen blijven open.
Openbare bijeenkomsten zijn tot nader order strikt verboden. Vandaag hadden we dus ook geen samenkomst in de kerk.
Scholen blijven de komende week gesloten en kinderen krijgen thuis les via zoom. Alle eindexamens (Bagroet) die voor deze week gepland stonden, worden met een week uitgesteld.
30 minuten voor een verwachte raketaanval: 1 piepje op de telefoon van de Home Front Command app en de melding “blijf in de buurt van een beschermde ruimte.” Deze melding geldt voor het hele land wat dus niet wil zeggen dat de raket bij ons in de buurt neerkomt. Maar dat kunnen ze onmogelijk zo ver van tevoren weten, dus waarschuwen ze iedereen.
10 minuten van tevoren - alle mobiele telefoons ontvangen een heel hard pop-upbericht (waar je van schrikt) met “nationale noodsituatie” waarin staat dat men zich moet voorbereiden om een beschermde ruimte te betreden. Deze melding geldt voor de helft of het hele land maar dat wil nog niet zeggen dat de raket bij ons neer zal komen.
4 minuten van tevoren – een flitswaarschuwing en een bericht dat geldt voor een vrij groot gebied en is ongeveer 70% nauwkeurig. Het kan zijn dat we geen sirene horen en dat de raket is doorgevlogen. Voor de zekerheid toch gauw even naar het toilet.
1,5 minuut van tevoren – het luchtalarm gaat af en we horen "Tseva adom" – code rood. Dan hebben we 1.5 minuten om naar de mamad te gaan. De radar geeft aan dat het uw kant op komt. Voor ballistische raketten betekent dit dat we ons of in het doelgebied bevinden, OF in het gebied waar de granaatscherven terechtkomen als de raket wordt onderschept.
En dan is het wachten op de boodschap van de Home Front Command APP, “U kunt de beschermde ruimte verlaten” met 1 pieptoon. Tegenwoordig mogen we er niet meer na 10 minuten uit, zoals vroeger, tijdens de raketaanvallen van Hamas of Hezbollah. Maar het kan ook zijn dat we toch in de buurt van een beveiligde ruimte moeten blijven. Dan kunnen we beter niet naar de winkel gaan....
De afgelopen nacht lanceerden Iran en Jemen ongeveer 60 grond-grondraketten en tientallen UAV's op Israëlische steden, wat resulteerde in verschillende directe treffers in het noorden en midden van Israël, waaronder Bat Yam. Deze aanvallen troffen voornamelijk burgerwijken en veroorzaakten 10 doden en talrijke gewonden. De Israëlische luchtverdedigingssystemen hebben veel van de dreigingen onderschept, maar het systeem is niet waterdicht.
“Wij richten ons op militaire infrastructuur; zij richten zich op onschuldige burgers”, verklaarde Defrin, waarbij hij het contrast benadrukte tussen de precisieoperaties van Israël en de terreurtactieken van het Iraanse regime.
De politie van het district Jeruzalem heeft in samenwerking met de grensbewakingsdiensten een man van in de vijftig uit Shuafat gearresteerd die vanuit de oude stad live opruiende muziek uitzond, waarin hij de raketaanvallen van Iran op Israël verheerlijkte.

De politie van
Beersheba heeft een bedoeïn uit Rahat gearresteerd die tijdens de raketaanval
een video op sociale media had geplaatst waarin hij een persoon met een
handicap lastigviel en hem de toegang tot een schuilkelder blokkeerde.
Het appartementencomplex in Bat Yam, waar zes Israëli's omkwamen door een Iraanse raket, moet worden gesloopt. De schade is te groot om te worden hersteld.
Arabische Knessetleden beschuldigden de regering ervan geen schuilkelders te hebben gebouwd, in plaats van de burgemeesters en hun raden van die Arabische steden de schuld te geven!
Bibi Netanyahu: "We zijn hier omdat we in een existentiële strijd verwikkeld zijn, die nu voor alle burgers van Israël begrijpelijk is. Bedenk eens wat er zou gebeuren als Iran kernwapens zou hebben om op Israëlische steden af te vuren. Bedenk eens wat er zou gebeuren als Iran 20.000 van zulke raketten zou hebben. Israël heeft gisteravond tegelijkertijd Iran en Jemen aangevallen. En vandaag, zo'n 2.300 kilometer verderop, vernietigde de IAF een Iraans tankvliegtuig op de luchthaven van Mashhad in het oosten van Iran. Dit is de verste aanval sinds het begin van de operatie. Al meer dan 60 uur lang voeren piloten van de Israëlische luchtmacht langeafstandsaanvallen uit op Iran. Houd deze onvermoeibare helden in uw gebeden.

HEALTH CHANGES - Ministry of Health: Health funds across the
country will open only in protected branches.
SPECIAL RULE: every person may receive medical treatment at ANY health
fund closest to their home even if they are not affiliated with it.
Only emergencies will be performed in hospitals, patients
whose condition is not defined as urgent will be discharged home as hospitals
maintain maximum capacity in case of casualties.
Rehab centers and therapeutic residences continue to
operate, as do addiction inpatient treatment centers.
Geriatric hospitals continue to operate, but avoid
congregation of activities.
EDUCATION CHANGES - Throughout the coming week, all learning
will take place remotely. All matriculation exams (Bagrut) that were scheduled
for this week will be postponed by one week accordingly.
In other words, each exam will be moved forward by one week
(e.g., exams scheduled for this coming Monday will be held the following
Monday, and so on).
Movement in public areas must be minimized, and public
gatherings are strictly prohibited until further notice. If a warning siren is
heard or an alert is issued, immediately enter a protected space and remain
inside until an official update is provided.

only allowed once an explicit directive is given. All citizens must continue to
follow Home Front Command instructions without exception to ensure safety
during this critical time.

❗️ALARM CONFUSION
Several readers were confused, and I get it…
.. 30 min before - the Home Front Command APP, and ONLY THE
APP, sent me a vague “be near a protected space” notification with 1 ding.
This notice is for the whole country. MEANING THE ACTUAL ATTACK might not be in
your area. But no way for them to know
this far in advance, so they alert everyone.
.. 10 min before - all cell phones received a “national
emergency” alert pop-up message stating to prepare to enter a protected space.
This notice is for either half or the whole country. MEANING THE ACTUAL ATTACK still might not be
in your area. But this far in advance
they are only starting to narrow it down, and therefore alert widely.
.. 4 min before - other alert apps set off their
early-flash-alert tone and message.
This alert is for a pretty wide area, and is about 70%
accurate. So you still might not get a
siren, especially if you are near the edge of the area.
.. 1 1/2 min before - siren and apps alerted.
Their radar says it’s coming your way. For ballistic missiles, it means you are
either in the target area OR in the shrapnel spread area if it is intercepted.
.. Some time later - the Home Front Command APP, and ONLY
THE APP, sends a “You may leave the protected space” notification with 1
ding. (One reader said the latest
updated Tzofar DOES send the You May Leave message too.)
Again, this alert seems to be going out widely - so you can
get it even if you didn’t get an alert to go into the shelter.
Jerusalem District police, in coordination with Border Guard
forces, arrested a man in his 50s from Shuafat who broadcast live incitement
music from the Old City, glorifying Iran’s missile attacks on Israel.
In a separate case, Beersheba police arrested a Bedouin
resident who, during the missile attack, uploaded a video to social media
harassing a person with a disability and blocking his access to a protected
area. Upon receiving the video, police at Beersheba station initiated a swift
investigation, tracked the suspect to Rahat, and arrested him through station
detectives.

Yemen, much larger nations that are thousands of kilometers away. It brings to
mind the passage: Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall
put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.

The apartment building damaged in Bat Yam, where six
Israelis were killed by an Iranian missile, will have to be demolished. The
damage is too extensive for I be repaired.
For 60 hours straight Israel Air Force pilots have been
carrying out long-range strikes against Iran.

(northern Israel) in the first Iranian missile barrage earlier last night. All
women. Arab Knesset members accused the government of not providing bomb
shelters, instead of blaming the mayors and their councils of those Arab cities

Israel at War | The special state of emergency in the home
front has been extended until June 30.
Some 2,300 kilometers away, the Air Force recently attacked
an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran. The Air Force is
working to achieve air superiority throughout Iran.
This is the most distant attack since the beginning of the
operation
During the night, Iran and Yemen launched around 60
surface-to-surface missiles and dozens of UAVs toward Israeli cities, resulting
in several direct hits in northern and central Israel, including Bat Yam. These
attacks mostly struck civilian neighborhoods, causing 10 fatalities and
numerous injuries. Israel’s aerial defense systems intercepted many of the
threats, but the system is not hermetic.
🔥 “We target military
infrastructure; they target innocent civilians,” Defrin stated, highlighting
the contrast between Israel’s precision operations and the Iranian regime’s
terror tactics.
